  1. HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION

2.1. You may reserve your room at the Balkanci Hotel /family-run/ by either

- visiting us at the hotel

2.2. Once we have received and processed your booking form we will reply back to you with an email or call you to confirm the accommodation.

2.3. Once we have hammered out the details about the booking, you will receive an email confirming the booking. The confirmation contains the number and date of the booking, the name of the guest, contact telephone and email, the number of guests, the amount for payment, what is included in the price, and the terms and conditions for payment of a deposit.

2.4. For the purpose of confirming your booking, the hotel requires payment of a 50% (fifty) deposit of the total cost of the booking (unless another amount for payment as deposit has been agreed upon between the parties). The deposit must be paid within 5 (five) days’ period following the receipt of the confirmation. The remaining balance of your booking is due and payable on your arrival and check-in day. If you wish to cancel your reservation, but you have as well paid the security deposit, you will be charged as is described in the cancellation policy below.

2.5. Requirement of a deposit means that your reservation is valid and the reservation shall be deemed to be finally confirmed once the payment under the specific booking form has been made and a confirmation email has been received.

2.6. If the deposit is not paid within the above term, the hotel reserves the right to cancel the reservation.

  1. CANCELLATION AND NO SHOWS POLICY

4.1. You may cancel a reservation you have already made by either

4.2. If you cancel a confirmed reservation within 10 (ten) days prior to your scheduled day of arrival, you will not be charged a cancellation fee unless you have made a reservation under the special holiday packages wherein the terms of reservation and cancellations are additionally described.

4.3. If you cancel your reservation within 3 (three) days prior to your scheduled day of arrival, you will be charged a cancellation fee at the rate of 50 (fifty) % of the total amount paid as deposit.

4.4. If you cancel your reservation less than 72 (seventy-two) hours prior to your check-in or if you fail to show on the check-in date, the amount you have paid in advance under your reservation will not be refunded to you, and your reservation will be deemed to be cancelled.

4.5. The Balkanci Hotel reserves the right to cancel any reservation already confirmed and paid in case of force majeure circumstances and other events beyond the control of the Hotel. When this occurs, the Hotel will either

- offer you a stay for another period by keeping the same terms, conditions and prices, or

- refund to you the deposit you have already paid within 30 (thirty) days following the date of receipt of your written request therefor, without charge;

  1. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT REQUIREMENTS

5.1. You may check-in at any time from 2:00 pm until 11:30 pm.

You will be asked to confirm your identity by providing you identification document. The data you submit is protected in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and the legislative instruments governing the data protection, and they are used only for the purpose of compliance with the requirements of the Tourism Act. The information you provide will only be used in connection with your reservation and will not be disclosed for other purposes.

5.2. On the day of departure you are asked to vacate your room by 12:00 noon.

5.3. No pets are allowed at the Hotel.

5.4. Guests are not permitted to smoke in rooms or public areas.

5.5. Guests and visitors are requested to keep safe and secure the Hotel property. In case of damages, guests are charged accordingly.

5.6. When using the Hotel services /relax zone, children’s play area, summer bar and snack bar/ the guests and visitors are requested not to disturb the comfort and enjoyment of other guests.

5.7. The Hotel Snack Bar and Kutzia Elen Bar are open until 11:30 pm, and the kitchen – until 10:30 pm. If you wish to stay and use the services of the snack bar after 11:30pm, you will be extra charged per hour.

5.8. Guests are not allowed to bring alcohol and food to the Balkanci Family Hotel.

  1. ROOM PRICES

6.1. Our room prices are based on the current schedule of rates published on our website, where the Hotel reserves the right to change them unilaterally. The specific price under each booking form received is determined by the Hotel with the confirmation as is defined in Item 2.3. of the General Terms & Conditions.

6.2. The Hotel has a right to put prices other than the prices specified in the schedule of rates for the official holidays and for other periods to be explicitly determined by the Hotel.

  1. RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF THE PARTIES

7.1. The Balkanci Hotel undertakes to provide to the guest all services the guest has booked and paid.

7.2. The Balkanci Hotel undertakes not to change the price of the services the guest has already paid for except in exceptional circumstances when the change is economically reasonable.

7.3. The Balkanci Hotel shall not be liable for any lost, forgotten or stolen items from the rooms, the snack bar or the spa centre, as well as for damages caused by third parties.

7.4. If you wish to make a complaint to us in relation to the quality of the paid services, you are requested to do so at the hotel in writing. If the complaint you have made remains unresolved you may require from the person in charge to complete a report. Within 3 (three) business days following the completion of the report, you will receive an official statement on the problem by the hotel management.

7.5. When you make a reservation, you enter into contractual relations with the Balkanci Hotel and agree and acknowledge the General Terms & Conditions thereof. All guests staying and using the services of the Balkanci Hotel must be of full legal age according to the Bulgarian laws (aged 18 years or over). Children are allowed only if accompanied by their parents or by other legal representatives.

7.6. All amounts for booked but not fully used or partially used services through the fault of the guests are not refundable.

7.7. All prices published on the website of the Balkanci Hotel as well as appearing in the email messages of the Hotel sent to the guests are in BGN, inclusive of VAT and tourism tax.

7.8. The Extras are not calculated automatically in the final price but you must pay for them at the Hotel.

7.9. You undertake to adhere to the established standards of conduct over the period of your stay at the Hotel. You will be charged the cost of all damages caused to the property of the Hotel.

7.10. You must not leave your children unattended in any rooms or public areas. The Hotel shall not be liable for under 18s left unattended.

7.11. The Balkanci Hotel reserves the right to change the information on this page as well as their General Terms & Conditions from time to time. Although all efforts are made for provision of true and accurate information, it may not be guaranteed at all times.

7.12. All disputes and legal matters which are not covered by these General Terms & Conditions and having arising out of the use of the website www.hotelbalkanci.com are governed by the statutory provisions of the Bulgarian laws and regulations.

7.13. These General Terms & Conditions have been adopted by the Balkanci Hotel and must be published on the website of the Hotel, and made available to the guests and visitors of the Hotel upon request.
